184km separate the capital of São Paulo to the hydro-mineral resort from Águas de São Pedro. However, the differences between the cities are much bigger than this relative proximity could presume: Águas de São Pedro is the smallest city in Brazil and is included in reports from the United Nations as one of the resorts with the best quality of life index in Brazil.
This characteristic of offering good life makes that Águas de São Pedro, throughout the whole year, attracts visitors searching for its welcoming atmosphere, pleasant weather (the average temperature is of 26ºC), abundant green area and, of course, its famous medicinal waters.
Tourism is the main activity in the city, which was planned and built to be a resort targeted to leisure and healing. To supply the demand from visitors, there is a variety of restaurants, bars and options of tours for children, teenagers and adults.

The proposal of the City Spa is to fulfill the main wish that drove the foundation of Águas de São Pedro: to be a place targeted to leisure and cure. Following these foundations, in the Spa it is possible to try the therapeutic properties of the famous sulfurous waters, through immersion baths. Massage, acupuncture, facial cleansing, mud bath, saunas and showers can also be requested. The Spa also has an auditorium, with capacity for 50 people, which headquarters informative lectures about Águas de São Pedro and its medicinal waters. Occasionally, art exhibits also are also held in its facilities.
The City Park Dr. Octavio Moura Andrade has a broad green area, with different types of trees, like bambu-bandeira, white fig tree, floss silk tree, guava tree, Brazil cherry tree, and many others. Some of the species in the Park are endangered with extinction. It is a place sought after for walks, exercises on open air and even horse rides. The Park has a lake with gooses and ducks and, in its forest, there are several species of small animals, like hedgehogs, coatis, marmosets and green lizards.
In addition to being a greenhouse for ornamental plants, which are used for landscaping the green areas in the city, the Arboretum is part of the Sun’s Path, and is one of the most famous visitation points in Águas de São Pedro. It has an artificial waterfall, lake with colored carps and four kiosks symbolizing the elements wind, earth, water and fire. Its forest is great for runs and walks.
The Balloni Tower is one of the main symbols of the early Águas de São Pedro. After all, it was through the search for oil – in the 1920s – that the medicinal waters, which became the kickoff for building the city, were discovered. The Engineer Angelo Balloni Oil Tower is part of the tourism route in the resort, and an opportunity to know more about the city's history.
